Vitrail Art Quilt no.2 - Natural Dyed Wall Hanging

Introducing the second member of our collection Vitrail Art Quilts - a one-of-a-kind masterpiece, inspired by stained glass and created with fine crafting techniques.

This artwork is made from fabric pieces that have accumulated in our studio throughout the years of color-making, sewn together to preserve their original shapes. It was an experimental, and at times, exhausting process, as each piece has an irregular form. But we couldn't be more satisfied with the outcome. We loved how it came together at the end, even though it looked so ambiguous in the beginning. It was a solid practice of letting go of the urge to calculate and design all the time and just trusting the flow of the creative act.

The fabric scraps used in this piece are made of cotton, linen, and silk, and are naturally dyed with madder roots, pomegranate peels, mulberry leaves, acacia heartwood, lac, cochineal bugs, and many more. The back is lined with a white cotton fabric and there are hanger straps attached to the upper corners for easy mounting.

This colorful abstract art quilt is fully handmade and one-of-a-kind, it will bring joyful creative energy to any space it resides. A perfect addition to any home, office, or gallery, this piece is truly an object of desire for any art lover.

Care Instructions: We recommend hanging your naturally dyed quilt away from direct sunlight. If needed, it can be hand washed with cold water and natural detergents gently. Do not wrinkle. Dry in the shade. Can be ironed hot.
